Fundraisers
TWO VERY IMPORTANT FUNDRAISERS:
We will need volunteers for two very important Band Boosters Fundraisers. If you can help at either event, please contact the following individuals:
- September 26, 2009 - Drumline/Colorguard Competition - contact Tami Grimes at tamipokeydog@yahoo.com.
- January 23, 2010 - Silent Auction/Dinner - to help with the Silent Auction, contact Elayne Burns at mthreemom@yahoo.com. To help with the Dinner, contact Cindy Davis at davisc@dot11net.net.
We need volunteers NOW to help contact businesses for donations. If you can help with the Silent Auction donation requests, set up, sales, check-out, etc., please contact Elayne Burns at mthreemom@yahoo.com.
Both events help raise much needed funds for the band program. Please Help!
Albertson's Cards
The Albertson's cards (400) will be here in November, however, Brenda Grant has 200 temporary cards we can use until they arrive. You can pick up your card at the next Band Booster Meeting on September 8. We can reorder cards when needed. Hand out cards to your neighbors, teachers, co-workers, family and friends. I have posted below the information Mr. Gordon, the Store Director, sent to me regarding the Albertson's Community Partners Program.
"Albertsons has re-structured its Community Partners program. There is no other company that can contribute to your organization as much as we can! Simply put, we give 1% of total sales from your purchases back to your organization. 5% back on sales over $50,000. Lets say your organization has 200 supporters. Each family spends $50 per week at Albertsons. 200 families times 4 shopping trips a month = $40,000 sales per month. That's $120,000 sales per quarter, your organization just earned.....
1% of $50,000 = $500
5% of $70,000 = $3,500
Total Quarterly contribution is $4,000"
It would be great if we could raise this amount each quarter, but whatever amount we can raise for the band program will help tremendously.
Yard Signs
Yard Signs are still for sale for $10.00. The money received from all signs sold from here on will be profit and will benefit the Scholarship Fund. You can contact Ronda Davis at sonnysmomrj11@yahoo.com if you need one.
Crowley High School Golf Tounament
Hello Everyone!.
Hope your summer is off to a great start. I would like to start off with saying.... Many Thanks to all who helped (students/parents/players) with the golf tournament!!
The success of the golf tournament would not have happened without you!! We were able to profit $3544 for the booster club. The exciting thing was that this happened without full sponsorship or players.
Imagine next year if we could get another 4-5 fairway/hole sponsors & 24( 8teams) more players! That would bring in another $2000 dollars easily! So for those who couldn't participate...plan on next year!
I would now like to recognize the teams who placed in our golf tournament.
First place went to Daniel Anthony, Kasey Kilpatrick, Tom Herdman, & Russell Herdman.
Second place went to Paul Gnadt, Blake ovard, Mike Phillips & Jason Fautheree.
Third place went to Eric Grant, Robert Grant, Bruce Hamilton, & Scott Parks.
and a Special Congratulations to Don Thoede who had a Hole-In-One at one of our bonus holes sponsored by the Thompson's. He won himself an Ipod Touch!!
Please show your support to local businesses that support your CHS MEB Band!
